How To Lose Weight Fast for Your Wedding
Uncategorized On 1650 0
For obvious reasons, losing weight quickly is usually the number one goal of most brides-to-be. There are hundreds of “lose weight fast” diets and work out regimens to try. There’s the Master Cleanse, the grapefruit diet, Atkins, and the Paleo Diet to name a few. And while these often work in the short run, they may also leave you feeling tired, hunger and frustrated. And being hungry, tired and frustrated while wedding planning is a recipe for disaster.
I spoke with fitness coach Jeffery Rice, who runs a Bridal Boot Camp in Philadelphia. He had some great tips for brides who want to lose weight fast for their wedding. Even if you can’t afford a Bridal Boot Camp or a personal trainer, Jeffery’s tips apply to everyone and are worth reading.
1. Give Yourself Enough Time To Lose The Weight
Most brides wait til the last minute to lose weight which makes it that much more difficult. When you’re rushing to workout, you don’t work out as well. There is no perfect time to start, but if you’re serious about losing weight, you need to get started no less than 6 weeks before your wedding.
2. Workout Based on the Style of Your Wedding Dress
For example, if your dress covers your shoulders, you can focus on working out your arms. If your dress shows off your lower back, work on exercises that focus on your back. If you’re wearing an A line dress that accentuates your waist and hips, the you’ll want to focus on trimming your waist and toning your derriere.
3. Eating Right is Key
Crash diets don’t work. They may work in the short run, but once you stop, you’ll likely be heavier than you were before the diet. Adding healthy foods to your diet and cutting back on the unhealthy foods will give you more success in the long run.
4. Join a Boot Camp or Get a Workout Partner
Brides who work out with others are more successful. Wedding planning causes a lot of stress and when a bride is stressed, it’s easy to quit working out because you feel overwhelmed. Work out with your bridal party or your fiance. And create a workout plan that’s reasonable, one that everyone agrees to stick to and support each other in along the way.
5. Have Fun!
You want your workouts to be fun. After all, you’re getting fit and healthy in anticipation of one of the happiest days of your life. If you’re working out without a trainers guidance, make the work out program manageable for you. Don’t be too strict with yourself because its easy to become overwhelmed which could lead to quitting before you see any results.
